About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under supervision
- Assist patients with heat/ice packs, paraffin dips, pool assistance, and exercise equipment
- Monitor patient motion and physical exertion levels
- Maintain treatment equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
- Educate patients on proper equipment use and exercise routines
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment and supplies
- Provide front desk coverage, including answering calls and assisting with scheduling
- Maintain physical therapy supplies inventory
Requirements
- Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology
- Knowledge of therapy equipment and strengthening techniques
- Ability to observe and record changes in patient physical condition
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to travel to various clinic locations in Central and Eastern Long Island
