Physical Therapy Aide

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under supervision
• Assist patients with heat/ice packs, paraffin dips, and pool access
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises and monitor physical exertion
• Maintain treatment equipment and perform preventive maintenance
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment/supplies
• Provide front desk coverage, including answering calls and assisting with scheduling
• Maintain patient confidentiality and a clean working environment

Requirements

• Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology
• Knowledge of therapy equipment and strengthening techniques
• Ability to observe and record changes in patients' physical condition
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain professional conduct
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
• Ability to live within 15-20 minutes of the facility
