Physical Therapy Aide

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under supervision
• Prepare heat and ice packs, paraffin dips, and assist patients to the pool
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises and monitor motion and exertion levels
• Maintain treatment equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
• Educate patients on proper use of equipment and exercise routines
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment and supplies
• Provide front desk coverage, including answering calls and assisting with scheduling
• Maintain patient confidentiality and a safe, clean working environment

Requirements

• Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology
• Knowledge of therapy equipment and proper strengthening techniques
• Ability to observe, evaluate, and record patient conditions
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain appropriate professional conduct
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
• Ability to live within 15-20 minutes of the office location
