About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under supervision
- Assist patients with heat/ice packs, paraffin dips, pool assistance, and exercise equipment
- Monitor patient motion and physical exertion levels
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on treatment equipment
- Educate patients on proper equipment use and exercise routines
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment and supplies
- Provide front desk coverage, including answering calls and assisting with scheduling
- Maintain physical therapy supplies inventory
Requirements
- Ability to travel to various clinic locations across Central and Eastern Long Island
- Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology
- Knowledge of therapy equipment and strengthening techniques
- Ability to observe and record changes in patients' physical condition
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of patient behavior and needs
- Experience with aggressive behavior management practices
