Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Conduct Physical Therapy assessments in facility and occasionally in the home
• Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings to develop care plans
• Deliver and document interventions as agreed upon in participant care plans
• Provide active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, and functional training
• Supervise Therapy Assistants and provide training for Functional Maintenance Programs
• Provide instruction to staff, participants, and caregivers on therapeutic equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy
• Valid California Physical Therapy License or proof of eligibility
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in physical therapy
• Two years of clinical experience with frail or elderly populations
• Experience in outpatient, acute, inpatient, or skilled nursing settings
