Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with diseases, injuries, disorders, and disabilities to relieve pain and restore function
• Provide specialized care within the Cardiovascular Acute Care team, including Orthopedic, Thoracic, Vascular, Cardiology, and Pulmonary Medicine populations
• Maintain maximum patient performance through evidence-based physical therapy interventions
• Participate in a structured orientation process and engage in ongoing mentoring from Senior Therapists and Board Certified Specialists

Requirements

• Bachelors or MS in Physical Therapy (if licensed prior to 2016)
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) (if licensed on or after 2016)
• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and Clinical Internship
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Michigan
• Ability to undergo Primary Source Verification

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in patient treatment
• Experience in an acute care setting at an academic medical center or large tertiary hospital
• New graduates with strong clinical rotations will be considered
