About the role
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with diseases, injuries, disorders, and disabilities to relieve pain and restore function
- Provide specialized care within the Cardiovascular Acute Care team, including Orthopedic, Thoracic, Vascular, Cardiology, and Pulmonary Medicine populations
- Maintain maximum patient performance through evidence-based physical therapy interventions
- Participate in a structured orientation process and engage in ongoing mentoring from Senior Therapists and Board Certified Specialists
Requirements
- Bachelors or MS in Physical Therapy (if licensed prior to 2016)
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) (if licensed on or after 2016)
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and Clinical Internship
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Michigan
- Ability to undergo Primary Source Verification
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in patient treatment
- Experience in an acute care setting at an academic medical center or large tertiary hospital
- New graduates with strong clinical rotations will be considered
