Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient functional status and physical therapy needs to assist physicians in developing plans of care
• Provide services within the state-defined scope of practice in coordination with the healthcare team
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment and any changes in condition to supervising nurses or physicians
• Treat patients to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain maximum functioning using standard practices
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers regarding the plan of care, functional limitations, and progress
• Visit patients according to the Plan of Treatment and complete required progress notes per policy
• Complete all patient evaluations and develop PT plans of care within state-specific guidelines

Requirements

• Current Physical Therapy licensure in the state of West Virginia
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
• Access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation
• Ability to function in diverse home environments regardless of client demographics

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR certification
