About the role
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient functional status and physical therapy needs to assist physicians in developing plans of care
- Provide services within the state-defined scope of practice in coordination with the healthcare team
- Observe and report patient responses to treatment and any changes in condition to supervising nurses or physicians
- Treat patients to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain maximum functioning using standard practices
- Instruct patients, families, and caregivers regarding the plan of care, functional limitations, and progress
- Visit patients according to the Plan of Treatment and complete required progress notes per policy
- Complete all patient evaluations and develop PT plans of care within state-specific guidelines
Requirements
- Current Physical Therapy licensure in the state of practice
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
- Access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Current CPR certification or the ability to complete certification within 90 days of hire
