Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning in the Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Prepare and distribute syllabi in accordance with department and divisional policies
• Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, including the use of instructional technology
• Modify instructional methods to meet the needs of a diverse student body
• Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters
• Contribute to the continuous review and revision of the department’s curriculum
• Participate in department, division, and college-wide meetings
• Maintain office hours and respond to student inquiries effectively

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy
• Minimum of 3 years of full-time post-licensure clinical experience in physical therapy
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Ohio
• Proficiency in using modern educational technology and multimedia-based instruction
• Ability to reside and work in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky

Preferred Qualifications

• APTA certified clinical instructor or documented recent experience as a clinical instructor for PTAs
• Experience teaching in a clinical or academic environment
• Experience as a PT department supervisor or manager
