Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide short- and long-term individual and group care to optimize the physical and mental health of employees
• Develop treatment plans in consultation with physicians where appropriate
• Perform therapeutic treatments for minor work-related injuries or illnesses using modalities, exercise, and rehabilitation techniques
• Conduct assessments of current health needs and provide behavioral change counseling
• Refer serious injuries to the patient's physician

Requirements

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA-accredited program
• 5 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics or a related field
• Active and current New Mexico state physical therapy license
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)
• Ability to work onsite in Albuquerque, NM (this is a part-time position, 20 hours per week)

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
• Experience in sports medicine
• Experience in health education or behavior change counseling
• Experience teaching group education classes related to physical therapy
• Ability to prepare and present health education and program-specific reports
