Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including physical examinations and strength testing
• Develop and implement evidence-based, individualized treatment plans
• Perform therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, gait training, and neuromuscular re-education
• Provide instruction to patients and families regarding assistive devices and home exercise programs
• Maintain accurate patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
• Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members
• Mentor Physical Therapist Assistant students and technicians
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives

Requirements

• Physical Therapy degree from a CAPTE-accredited program
• Current, active Physical Therapist license in the state of Maine
• Current CPR certification (AHA or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
• Proficiency with EMR systems and MS Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to perform patient care duties including standing and walking

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent graduate or early-career Physical Therapist
• Experience with orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular, or geriatric populations
• Knowledge of specialized therapeutic modalities
• Experience in a collaborative, team-based healthcare setting
