Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to identify functional limitations and establish individualized treatment plans
• Develop measurable, patient-centered goals and evidence-based plans of care
• Deliver high-quality, one-on-one physical therapy services for orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
• Utilize manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and neuromuscular re-education
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home exercise programs
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and rehabilitation technicians
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program
• Current or eligible for Virginia Physical Therapist licensure
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Strong orthopedic assessment and treatment skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings
• Clinical specialization or leadership interest
