Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop treatment plans based on evaluation results
• Review physician referrals, patient conditions, and medical records
• Provide direct patient care following established protocols and guidelines
• Document findings, progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers
• Supervise care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
• Create written plans of care and comprehensive goal-attainment programs
• Implement physical therapy treatment programs
• Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies
• Ensure timely documentation including daily notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries

Requirements

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current Louisiana state license or ability to obtain one
• CPR certification
• Ability to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation treatment plans
• Ability to work effectively in an autonomous environment
• Basic PC skills including EMR systems and MS Office
