Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Interpret referrals and identify necessary precautions to provide appropriate evaluation and treatment
• Develop individualized, focused treatment plans based on patient functional goals
• Utilize independent clinical decision-making to progress patients and modify treatments based on medical status
• Monitor patients during treatment and respond appropriately to changes in status
• Instruct patients and their families in home treatment programs
• Maintain accurate records of patient evaluation, treatment, and discharge status
• Partner with a physical therapy assistant and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• May conduct research or special projects contributing to teaching materials and procedures

Requirements

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) if licensed on or after 2016, or a Bachelor's/MS if licensed prior to 2016
• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and Clinical Internship
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Michigan
• Ability to undergo Primary Source Verification

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of outpatient orthopedic experience
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Prior experience or interest in Oncology Rehab and Geriatrics
• Strong interest in osteoporosis and balance impairments
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaborative teamwork skills
