About the role
Responsibilities
- Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results
- Review physician referrals and medical records to determine required treatment
- Provide direct patient care following established protocols and guidelines
- Document findings, progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers
- Oversee patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
- Complete written plans of care and develop goal-oriented programs
- Implement and provide essential physical therapy treatments
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies
- Ensure timely documentation including daily notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited college with an APTA curriculum
- Current state of Mississippi DPT licensure
