Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results
• Review physician referrals and medical records to determine required treatment
• Provide direct patient care following established protocols and guidelines
• Document findings, progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers
• Supervise patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
• Complete written plans of care, including goal development and comprehensive programs
• Implement and provide essential physical therapy treatments
• Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies
• Ensure timely documentation of daily notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries

Requirements

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current South Carolina state license
• CPR certification
• Skills in exercise, sports rehab, and manual therapy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in sports rehabilitation
• Manual therapy expertise
