About the role
Responsibilities
- Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Physical Therapist
- Assist the Physical Therapist in obtaining vital signs, ranges of motion, and strength testing
- Coordinate with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on the participants’ individual treatment plans
- Handle scheduling of participants’ treatments, clinical visits, and billing
- Document physical therapy interventions including active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional training of ADLs, and various treatments
Requirements
- PTA associate’s degree from an accredited program
- Valid PTA license, or proof of license eligibility
- Minimum of two years of PTA experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population
- Knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Outpatient experience
- Acute care experience
- Inpatient experience
- Skilled nursing experience
