About the role
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Deliver therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities
- Monitor patient performance and report progress to the Physical Therapist
- Instruct patients in safe and effective home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
- Educate patients and families about therapy goals and safety
- Assist in maintaining clinic organization and a safe environment
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current Texas PTA license
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Solid understanding of physical therapy principles and modalities
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or interest in orthopedics, sports medicine, or outpatient care
