About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in assessing patients to develop and initiate treatment plans
- Review physician referrals and patient medical records
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Document findings, progress, and patient instructions
- Support implementation of physical therapy treatment programs
- Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies
- Ensure timely documentation including daily notes and progress reports
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current West Virginia state license
- CPR certification
- Basic PC skills including EMR and MS Office
- Ability to work effectively in an autonomous environment
