Physical Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic interventions under Physical Therapist supervision
• Execute modality treatments, therapeutic exercises, and gait training
• Provide manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and wound dressing
• Record patient progress and responses in medical charts
• Report patient status to physicians and healthcare personnel
• Instruct patients and families on assistive devices and home exercises
• Provide guidance to Physical Therapist Assistant students and technicians
• Assist in quality assurance programs

Requirements

• Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• CPR certification
• Basic PC skills including EMR systems and MS Office
• Ability to work effectively in an autonomous environment
