Physical Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities

• Implement physical therapy treatment programs as described by a physical therapist’s written plan of care
• Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of the PT
• Monitor patient condition and progress towards treatment goals
• Motivate and instruct patients and caregivers using appropriate methods
• Document appropriately in medical records accurately and efficiently
• Ensure safe care of patients by adhering to policies, procedures, and standards

Requirements

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Exercise and manual-based skills with sports rehabilitation experience
• Current Louisiana state license or license eligibility
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a clinic environment
