Physical Therapist Assistant - Part-Time (Adjunct) Faculty

Responsibilities

• Teach curriculum developed by the department for the Physical Therapist Assistant Program
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning through face-to-face morning and afternoon courses
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies
• Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies and utilize available instructional technology
• Modify instructional methods to meet the needs of diverse students
• Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters by established deadlines
• Maintain strict confidentiality of student information

Requirements

• Minimum of an Associate's degree in the content area
• Must be a licensed Health Care professional in the state of Ohio
• Demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology, including multimedia-based instruction
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work within a culturally diverse college community
• Ability to teach face-to-face at the Dayton campus

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience
• Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative instructional strategies
