Physical Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in patient care and notify supervising Physical Therapists of changes in condition
• Follow established Plans of Care and practice within state guidelines
• Instruct and counsel patients in exercises and recovery techniques
• Complete documentation in EMR to support service delivery
• Assist with treatments including applying ice/heat packs and monitoring motion
• Educate patients on proper use of equipment and exercise routines
• Maintain a safe, clean, and confidential working environment

Requirements

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of New York or eligible
• Ability to evaluate patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Mandatory certifications: First Aid, AED, and CPR
• Ability to work as a floater across multiple clinic locations in Central Suffolk County

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EMR documentation
• Ability to provide instruction to family members and caregivers
