About the role
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in patient care and notify supervising Physical Therapists of condition changes
- Follow established Plans of Care within state practice guidelines
- Instruct and counsel patients in exercises and recovery techniques
- Complete documentation in EMR to support service delivery
- Assist with therapeutic modalities including ice, heat, and exercise equipment
- Educate patients on proper equipment use and exercise routines
- Maintain a safe, clean, and confidential working environment
Requirements
- PTA license to practice in the State of New York
- Hands-on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and physical modalities
- Strong communication and instructional skills
- Ability to delegate support care to non-licensed staff
Preferred Qualifications
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
- Experience with AI-assisted documentation
