Physical Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in patient care and notify supervising Physical Therapists of condition changes
• Follow established Plans of Care and state practice guidelines
• Instruct and counsel patients in exercises and recovery routines
• Complete documentation in EMR to support service delivery
• Assist with physical modalities including ice, heat, and exercise equipment
• Educate patients on proper equipment use and strengthening techniques
• Maintain a safe, clean, and confidential working environment

Requirements

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the State of New York
• Hands-on experience with therapeutic exercises and physical modalities
• Strong communication and instructional skills
• Ability to delegate support care to non-licensed staff

Preferred Qualifications

• New graduates are encouraged to apply
