About the role
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in patient care and notify supervising Physical Therapists of condition changes
- Follow established Plans of Care and state practice guidelines
- Instruct and counsel patients in exercises and recovery techniques
- Complete documentation in EMR to support service delivery
- Assist with treatments including applying ice/heat packs and monitoring motion
- Educate patients on proper use of equipment and exercise routines
- Maintain a safe, clean, and confidential working environment
Requirements
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of New York or eligible
- Ability to evaluate patient needs and develop treatment plans
- Mandatory certifications in First Aid, AED, and CPR
- Ability to travel to various clinic locations throughout Nassau County
