Physical Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care following established protocols and guidelines
• Complete timely documentation including daily notes and progress reports
• Administer therapeutic exercises, massage, and electrical modality treatments
• Instruct and assist patients with functional activities and mobility
• Observe patients and report progress to the Physical Therapist
• Fit and train patients in the use of orthopedic braces and supportive devices
• Measure range of motion, girth, and vital signs to assist in evaluations

Requirements

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical Therapy Assistant program
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in North Carolina or ability to obtain it
• Current CPR certification
• 1+ year of experience (recent graduates encouraged to apply)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in an outpatient setting
• Skills in exercise, sports rehab, and manual therapy
