About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care following established protocols and guidelines
- Complete timely documentation including daily notes and progress reports
- Administer therapeutic exercises, massage, and electrical modality treatments
- Instruct and assist patients with functional activities and mobility
- Observe patients and report progress to the Physical Therapist
- Fit and train patients in the use of orthopedic braces and supportive devices
- Measure range of motion, girth, and vital signs to assist in evaluations
Requirements
- Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in North Carolina or ability to obtain it
- Current CPR certification
- 1+ year of experience (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting
- Skills in exercise, sports rehab, and manual therapy
