Physical Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing patients to develop and initiate treatment plans
• Review physician referrals and medical records to determine required treatment
• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
• Support ensuring patient care meets established standards
• Assist in completing written plans of care and developing goals
• Implement physical therapy treatment programs
• Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies
• Ensure timely documentation including daily notes and progress reports

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current state of Missouri Physical Therapy license
• CPR certification
• Ability to work efficiently in an autonomous environment
• Basic PC skills including EMR systems and MS Office
