About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient assessments and help develop treatment plans
- Review referrals and medical records to determine appropriate therapy
- Provide supervised direct patient care following established protocols
- Document patient progress and caregiver instructions
- Support quality standards for care delivered by assistants and techs
- Contribute to plans of care, goal setting, and treatment program development
- Help implement therapy programs and deliver essential interventions
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare partners
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all required documentation
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current state of Michigan license
- CPR certification
- Ability to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation-setting treatment plans or willingness to learn
