Physical Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging physical therapy treatments to acute care patients under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Empower patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities
• Track patient progress with detailed documentation and inform the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on prescribed exercises and safety strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and electronic health record systems
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
• Participate in case conferences and discharge planning
• Provide physical therapy services in the outpatient orthopedic clinic on a PRN basis

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of residence or eligibility for licensure
• Current certifications in First Aid, AED, and CPR
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Physical capability to perform hands-on therapeutic interventions
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
