Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results
• Review physician referrals and medical records to determine required treatment
• Provide direct patient care following established protocols and guidelines
• Document findings, progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers
• Oversee patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
• Develop comprehensive programs and goals based on evaluation findings
• Implement physical therapy treatment programs
• Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies
• Ensure timely documentation including daily notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited college with an APTA curriculum
• Current Maryland state license
• CPR certification
• Skills in exercise and manual therapy, McKenzie, and sports rehab
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a clinic setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent
• Previous staff supervisory experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
