Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results
• Review physician referrals and medical records to determine required treatment
• Provide direct patient care following established protocols and guidelines
• Document findings, progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers
• Supervise patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
• Complete written plans of care and develop goal-oriented programs
• Implement and provide essential physical therapy treatments
• Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies
• Ensure timely documentation including daily notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited college with an APTA curriculum
• Current Maryland state license
• CPR certification
• Exercise and manual based skills, McKenzie skilled, and sports rehab
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Ability to market the clinic through networking and physician office visits

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent
• Previous staff supervisory responsibility in an outpatient orthopedic setting
