About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide essential security support at job sites to ensure compliance with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 requirements
- Coordinate with construction managers, security personnel, and stakeholders to resolve security or compliance issues
- Observe, inspect, and report on construction site work and maintain daily logs
- Screen all equipment, materials, and furnishings destined for controlled construction areas using X-ray machines and other approved methods
- Read and analyze blueprints and designs to recognize intended use and identify structural complexities for ulterior purposes
- Perform close-in/Seal-in inspections in accordance with CSP, SSM, and SSC Direction
- Photograph construction of secure spaces and document steps to support accreditation
- Compose detailed reports and analyses regarding security situations and findings
Requirements
- Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5) within the last 5 years (or enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program)
- 5+ years of experience as a CST or SSM for U.S. Government construction security projects
- 5+ years of experience using AutoCAD or a similar CAD package
- Completed U.S. Government approved SCIF, SAPF, SSM, and CST training courses
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Ability to travel up to 15%
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to obtain TS SCI/SAP clearance
- Experience with construction projects as a tradesman
- Strong independent decision-making skills and ability to function with minimal supervision
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and maintain professional composure in unusual circumstances
- Ability to work overtime and/or off-shifts based on construction schedules
