Physical Products Trader

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of petroleum products including fuel oil, gasoline, diesel, and crude oil.
• Execute trading strategies by buying and selling products to maximize profits and manage costs.
• Conduct thorough analysis of energy markets, supply/demand trends, and geopolitical factors.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate price fluctuations and credit risks.
• Collaborate with logistics, transportation, and storage teams to optimize product movement.
• Establish and nurture relationships with suppliers, customers, and industry peers to drive flow.
• Ensure all trading activities comply with regulatory requirements (SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC) and internal policies.
• Utilize data analytics and market modeling to predict trends and improve decision-making.

Requirements

• Substantial experience in petroleum product trading and market knowledge.
• Proven expertise in managing risk for petroleum portfolios.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities and risks decisively.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial service markets and relevant regulatory environments.
• Experience operating on electronic market-making infrastructure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
