About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based strength and conditioning programs for National Development Program athletes and People with Disability (PWD) players.
- Establish specific, measurable physical goals tailored to the technical, tactical, and psychological demands of tennis.
- Undertake physical testing of athletes and archive results according to established testing batteries.
- Manage the collation of strength and conditioning profiling and management information within the Athlete Database System.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure clear communication of program directions and rationale.
- Support player development initiatives and assist in delivering content for specific coaching courses when required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience providing strength and conditioning services, including work with national teams and athletes.
- Tertiary degree in Sport Science, Human Movement, or an equivalent discipline.
- Level 2 National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NACS) qualification in Strength & Conditioning or equivalent ESSA qualification.
- Advanced anatomical knowledge with the ability to apply it in a practical setting.
- Excellent coaching skills and the ability to build strong professional relationships.
- Current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain them).
