Physical Design - CAD Lead

Responsibilities

• Drive and develop PD flows and methodology for finfet and multi-patterning technologies using Cadence Tempus or Synopsys Primetime
• Develop repeatable, predictable, and design/process agnostic PD flows
• Build state-of-the-art flow infrastructure to enable rapid design under tight schedule constraints
• Work with PD team leads to propose and develop end-to-end build and signoff flows
• Build regression frameworks to ensure high-quality flows
• Develop collateral quality checking utilities
• Deploy a unified environment for specifying collaterals and flow dependencies
• Coordinate work with 3rd party vendor resources

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of industry experience or PhD with 3+ years
• Strong Python and scripting programming skills
• Experience developing workflow orchestration infrastructure (Airflow, flowtracer, etc.)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerization
• Experience implementing regression frameworks
• Proficiency in SQL or other databases (e.g., MongoDB)
• Intimate knowledge of hardware design workflows for Physical Design and RTL/DV
• Excellent scripting skills in TCL, shell, and Python

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in full chip RTL/DV and PD flows
• Knowledge of circuit design, device physics, deep sub-micron, and SOI technology
• Proficiency with industry-grade physical design flow and building CAD infrastructure
• Experience defining design constraints for static timing analysis
• Experience integrating analog or mixed-signal macros on top-level design
• Experience verifying IP collaterals
