About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide professional medical services including rounding and consultations for patients in physical and rehabilitation medicine
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with physical or cognitive impairments and disabilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic injection procedures and electro-diagnostic medicine
- Collaborate with facility leadership and interdisciplinary teams to develop and evaluate patient care policies
- Manage medical records including Pre-Admission Screenings, Individualized Plan of Care, and IRF-PAI
- Supervise medical and comprehensive rehabilitation goals and treatment plans
- Assist with medical education, including curriculum development and staff supervision
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
- Current state medical license
- Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Current certification or active participation in the certification process by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Experience in current practice in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
