Photonics Connectivity Solutions Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support customer co-design activities, field trials, and product evaluations
• Act as the primary technical interface for field remediation to resolve technical and quality issues at customer sites
• Conduct on-site investigations of technical and product issues raised by customers
• Support sales demonstrations, presentations, and training to ensure successful product adoption
• Perform product evaluations on both Corning and competitor products to support design-in decisions
• Provide technical recommendations and feedback to Product Line Management, Manufacturing, and Sales teams
• Gather and report competitive information and customer feedback to internal stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or equivalent demonstrated experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in optical fibers and connectivity
• Proven ability to interact with customers at a technical level, comprehending needs and conveying value
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Strong communication skills to interface effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical writing ability with an emphasis on presenting detailed concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
• Prior knowledge of Corning Optical Communications products
