Photographer

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit VOs, VO-SOTs, and packages for broadcast and online platforms
• Collaborate with the Assignment Desk, reporters, and producers to cover daily stories
• Gather and edit video and still photography for digital platforms
• Execute live shots and ensure creative visions are met with vivid video and natural sound
• Coordinate and communicate incoming video elements from field crews
• Manage and organize video content using catalog systems

Requirements

• Proven experience with computer software and digital editing tools (Adobe Premiere preferred)
• Ability to carry up to 50 pounds of equipment
• Valid driver's license and a near-perfect driving record
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and under pressure
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Previous newsroom experience or equivalent military training (e.g., DINFOS) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Sony XD Cam, GoPro, and mobile video capture
• Proficiency with ENG, SNG, TVU, and wireless data transmission
• Knowledge of Bitcentral, NBC, and CNN platforms
