Photographer/Editor

Responsibilities

• Capture compelling video and audio elements for news, sports, features, and documentary-style stories
• Operate ENG trucks or IP video-based live units (TVU) as assigned
• Work both independently and as part of a team on daily news assignments
• Participate in editorial meetings to suggest story ideas and discuss coverage
• Utilize creative production techniques, including graphics and new media, to enhance storytelling
• Handle live, breaking news situations and changing events with composure

Requirements

• Experience in photojournalism, video editing, and content management systems
• Knowledge of EDIUS or other non-linear editing (NLE) systems
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and occasionally up to 80 lbs
• Current driver's license and ability to operate news-gathering vehicles
• Demonstrated news judgment, writing skills, and photography expertise
• Flexibility to work a changing schedule and meet constant time pressure deadlines
• BA/BS in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• 3-5 years of newsroom experience preferred
