Photographer/Editor

Responsibilities

• Capture compelling video and audio elements for news, sports, features, and documentary-style stories
• Operate IP video-based live units (TVU) when assigned
• Work both independently and as part of a team on daily news assignments
• Participate in editorial meetings and contribute story ideas
• Utilize creative production techniques, including graphics and new media, to enhance storytelling
• Handle live, breaking news situations and changing events calmly

Requirements

• Experience in photojournalism, editing, and content management systems
• Proficiency with EDIUS or other Non-Linear editing (NLE) systems
• Demonstrated news judgment, writing skills, and photography experience
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs with or without accommodation
• Current driver's license and ability to operate a newsgathering vehicle
• Flexibility to work a changing schedule and meet strict daily deadlines
• BA/BS in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred
