Photo Editor & Operations Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics for Store and editorial shoots, including scheduling and booking freelance collaborators
• Manage studio time and resources to balance priorities
• Serve as photo editor for the Wirecutter Store and key editorial packages
• Partner with editors and designers to select images and maintain visual standards
• Handle post-production tasks including editing, color, and light retouching
• Manage asset ingestion, organization, and file management
• Collaborate with marketing, commerce, and product teams on asset needs and timelines
• Document and scale repeatable workflows and process documentation

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in photo editing, photo operations, or a related visuals role
• Experience in an editorial, ecommerce, or media environment
• Demonstrated experience coordinating shoots and managing photo workflows
• Proficiency with Photoshop
• Strong eye for visual storytelling and image sequencing
• Experience with asset management and file organization

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience collaborating with cross-functional partners (editors, designers, marketing)
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Familiarity with studio operations and basic equipment knowledge
• Deep interest in Wirecutter's mission and service journalism
