About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end photography program, including strategic planning, briefing, and commissioning for all Tennis Australia events.
- Oversee the quality control of digital content management systems (CMS) and maintain the TA Photo Archive.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows for the delivery of high-quality photography.
- Manage the photography budget, including projections for the Australian Open and Summer of Tennis.
- Drive the commercialisation and monetisation of the image library through licensing and partnerships.
- Build and manage relationships with freelance photographers and editors to ensure top-tier talent coverage.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a photo editor or managing photography operations at high-profile events.
- Strong knowledge of the photography industry and media/editorial standards.
- Proven experience managing teams of freelance photographers and editors.
- Advanced proficiency in Photo Mechanic, Adobe Photoshop, and FTP delivery systems.
- Demonstrated experience with digital asset management (DAM) systems and online publishing.
- Experience in budget management and people leadership.
- Ability to hold a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
- Knowledge of tennis, players, and the Australian Open is highly regarded.
