Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and donor screening to support plasma center operations
• Greet donors and answer phones while ensuring the safety of donors and the team
• Screen new and repeat donors by recording vital signs and finger stick results
• Use the Donor Information System to prepare charts, maintain records, and coordinate compensation
• Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement using approved procedures
• Work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for the entire work shift
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Fine motor coordination and depth perception
• Ability to wear gloves for prolonged periods due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens
• 1 or more years of experience in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful
