About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and program plasmapheresis machines
  • Greet donors and monitor them throughout the donation process to manage reactions
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment
  • Perform finger sticks and record donor measures including hematocrit, total protein, and weight
  • Take and record vital signs such as pulse, blood pressure, and temperature
  • Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS)
  • Stock supplies and assist with the proper disposal of materials
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the center

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach
  • Ability to lift up to 5 lbs. regularly, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination and depth perception
  • Ability to wear gloves for prolonged periods due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 or more years of experience in a customer or patient-facing role
