About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other specialized requirements
- Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain detailed patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients in a Patient Service Center or Client office
- Perform administrative and clerical duties and travel to additional sites when needed
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program
- 2 or more years of experience as a phlebotomist
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 or more years of phlebotomy experience
