Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

• Complete POCT cholesterol checks including height, weight, waist measurements, heart rate, and blood pressure
• Input result data into the system
• Draw two blood samples for each participant, ensuring correct labelling and storage
• Monitor participant welfare and escalate issues to the nurse in charge
• Offer signposting, advice, and guidance to participants
• Prepare sample boxes for courier collection at the end of shifts

Requirements

• At least 12 months of recent phlebotomy experience
• Proof of phlebotomy competency
• Experience as a Healthcare Support Worker (HCA)
• Ability to work 2-3 days per week within a 7-day service
• Willingness to register with the agency

Preferred Qualifications

• Driver status (highly beneficial due to mobile sites)
