Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specialized specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Maintain detailed patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties and travel to additional sites as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency, completion of a training program, or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of professional phlebotomy experience
