Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups
• Collect specialized specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol testing
• Execute accurate and timely data entry of patient information
• Process billing information and collect necessary payments
• Prepare all collected specimens for laboratory testing and analysis
• Maintain detailed patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as required
• Travel to additional sites as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency, completed training program, or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to meet vaccination requirements (including Varicella, MMR, Tdap, Td, Tuberculosis screening, Flu, and Hepatitis B)

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of phlebotomy experience working with both adults and children
• 1 year of specific pediatric experience
